اقامت نقابة اطباء الاسنان في العراق دورة علمية  وعملية  في  حشوات الجذور يوم الجمعة المصادف 9-9-2011 حيث القى المحاضر ا.د.حسين الحويزي محاضرة بعنوان

Simplifying root canal obturation by the E&Q Master thermoplasticized gutta percha system.


In an attempt to overcome the drawbacks of solid core techniques, heat was used to render gutta percha plastic therefore pushing it to the most remote areas in the root canal.

In recent years, many modes of heat application to the gutta percha were developed. The warm gutta percha technique was the first to use heat by a hot plugger that is plunged in the gutta percha to plasticize it. Other devices or techniques used heat softening gutta percha outside the root canal as the Thermafil system, System B/Obtura, Beefill and recently E&Q Master.

The cordless E&Q Master system offers a more simplified system of heat application of the battery operated heat source that heats gutta percha for better adaptation with the wall of the root canal. The low voltage used to heat the gutta percha gives better safety. The extra battery can replace the discharging battery instantly to complete the obturation.

Instead of the gutta percha cannulas used by other systems, the E&Q Master system uses the economic gutta percha bars for the backfilling of the middle and coronal thirds.

The E&Q Master system offers a more simple, easy and quick system for root canal obturation.
